School Counselor Advocate Award
The purpose of this award is to recognize a person or organization whose advocacy of school counseling services in a school setting has impact for School Counselors on a local, state or national level.

ELIGIBILITY FOR CONSIDERATION:
• Nominee may be a school board member, parent, teacher, community leader or organization who has consistently made a significant contribution to the improvement of school counseling services in the school setting.
• Nominee does not need to be a member of FSCA.

CRITERIA FOR RECOGNITION:
• Exemplary support of school counseling services.
• Outstanding promotion of school counseling services.
• Implementation of new/additional school counseling services.
• Improvement of existing school counseling services.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Nomination packets should include 3 letters of recommendations, one of which needs to be a letter of testimony from the nominating School Counselor, resume of the nominee, and personal contact information of the nominator.

Legislator of the Year Award
The purpose of this award is to recognize state or federal elected officials of government who have demonstrated their belief in and support of school counseling activities by outstanding legislation which has had or will have an impact on school counseling.

ELIGIBILITY FOR CONSIDERATION:
The achievement recognized should have impact or potential for impact on school counselors or recipients of their services.

CRITERIA FOR RECOGNITION:
The achievement recognized should include primary responsibility for introducing or carrying a bill on a state or national level congress.
Gathering information leading to the introduction and passage of a significant bill.
Presenting testimony of great influence on the introduction and passage of a significant bill.
Contributing testimony or exposing conditions in an oversight hearing which results in administrative changes or legislative amendments of significance to school counselors or recipients of their services.

Nomination packets should include a letter of nomination from a FSCA member describing the reason for the nomination, plus 2 additional letters of recommendation, and personal contact information of the nominator.

Writing Award
The purpose of this award is to recognize writing done in the interest of school counseling which makes an outstanding contribution to the profession.

ELIGIBILITY FOR CONSIDERATION:
The nominee must be either currently employed as full-time school counselor or supervisor or be retired from school counseling and have completed at least three years of consecutive counseling services.
Nominee must be a member of FSCA.
Nominee must hold a Master\\\'s Degree.

CRITERIA FOR RECOGNITION:
Writing cited for nomination shall have been published or used to promote counseling in the schools within the last three years.
Writing shall have practical significance for school counselors.
The writing of the award nominee should be of the type that has direct implications for communication of the importance and significance of school counseling as an integral part of the educational process.

School Board Advocacy Award
The purpose of the School Board Advocacy Award is to recognize a county school board, in its entirety, whose members have demonstrated their belief in and support of school counseling and whose advocacy of school counseling services in their district is evident and demonstrated by decisions that have an unparalleled, positive impact for all counselors, and their students, within that school district.

ELIGIBILITY FOR CONSIDERATION:
Nominee may be an active school board member that has consistently made a significant contribution to the improvement of school counseling services within the county they preside over.

CRITERIA FOR RECOGNITION:
Exemplary support of school counseling services.
Outstanding promotion of school counseling services.
Implementation of new/additional school counseling services.
Improvement of existing school counseling services.

School Administrator Award
he purpose of this award is to recognize an administrator in a local district who has promoted and supported the school counseling program.

ELIGIBILITY FOR CONSIDERATION:
• Nominee must be currently employed as a full-time school based administrator and have completed at least three years of service.
• Nominee must have consistently made a significant contribution to the improvement and/or support of the school counseling program.
• Nominee does not need to be a member of FSCA.

CRITERIA FOR RECOGNITION:
• Supports existing and/or new developmental school counseling program(s) within the school.
• Has made significant contributions to the improvement of the school counseling program.
• Assists School Counselors with their profession and implementation of their profession.
• Recognizes the importance of the school counseling program within the school.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Nomination packets should include 3 letters of recommendation one of which needs to be a letter of testimony from the nominating School Counselor, resume of nominee, and personal contact information of the nominator.

Administrator/Supervisor Advocate Award
The purpose of the Administrator/Supervisor Advocacy Award is to recognize an administrator, coordinator, director or supervisor whose leadership has shown outstanding services and impact in the school counseling field for counselors on a local, state, or national level.

ELIGIBILITY FOR CONSIDERATION:
Nominee must be an administrator, coordinator, director or supervisor of district school counseling services who has consistently made a significant contribution to the improvement of counseling services in the school setting.
Nominee must be currently employed as a full-time supervisor, coordinator or director of district school counseling services and have completed at least three years of service. The nominee's primary responsibility must be in working with counseling programs at the school level.
Nominee must be a member of FSCA.

CRITERIA FOR RECOGNITION:
Initiation of developmental school counseling program.
Implementation of innovative school counseling services.
Improvement of existing school counseling services.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Nomination packets should include a letter of nomination from a FSCA member describing the reason for the nomination, plus 2 additional letters of recommendation, resume of nominee, and personal contact information of the nominator.

Community Service Award
The purpose of this award is to recognize school counselors who have donated their time and contributed their talents to their community. This service would be \\\"above and beyond\\\" their school service.

ELIGIBILITY FOR CONSIDERATION:
Must be presently employed as a full-time counselor and must be a member of FSCA.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Nomination packets should include a letter of nomination from a FSCA member describing the reason for the nomination, plus 2 additional letters of recommendation, resume of the nominee, and personal contact information of the nominator.

Letter of nomination should briefly describe the type of service in which the nominee participates, the number of years, and whether they have received any community awards or recognition for their service.
